Carpathia Hosting: Highlights from a Successful Q1 2012
It's been a busy year so far here at Carpathia, and we couldn’t be more excited about all the growth we’ve seen in Q1 alone! In fact, Q1 2012 was our most successful growth quarter to date due to numerous major customer wins, a global data center and office expansion and the groundbreaking of the new IBX Vault in Dulles, Va.
Last year, Inc. Magazine ranked Carpathia as one of America's fastest-growing private companies, so it’s thrilling to continue on this path of growth. Here are a few of the highlights from 2012 so far:
We’re continuing to win major customers worldwide, including the world’s largest independent mobile advertising network, InMobi. As InMobi’s strategic worldwide hosting partner, we host and manage the production infrastructure that allows InMobi to deliver its mobile ad platform to the US, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region.
We expanded our data center footprint in Q1 to London and Sydney, with the proposed addition of Hong Kong in the near future. With a global data center footprint that also includes the US, Canada and the Netherlands, our strategic alliance with global data center provider Equinix has given us access to a worldwide footprint, thus enabling rapid deployment times worldwide.
We extended our partnership with Equinix to build the IBX Vault, a highly-secure 64,000 square foot Tier III data center in Dulles, Va. Aimed at supporting industry-specific compliant solutions for healthcare companies, federal agencies and commercial industries, the new facility is currently under construction on our Vault Campus, which comprises the existing Vault data center and the new IBX Vault.
Finally, we opened new offices in the Bay Area and New York City and began expanding our corporate headquarters in Dulles, Va. by an additional 10,000 square feet. The expanded Carpathia headquarters will total 25,415 square feet and will feature an additional 70 workspaces and a 60-seat training and briefing room.
What an exciting couple months! The best part is – we’re only 4 months into the year, so I can’t wait to see what else 2012 has in store for Carpathia.
